Evalumate

Support

For the Evalumate app and the Evalumate Chrome extension.

Everything here is handled by a person at info@evalumate.net. Evalumate is small, so that address is the whole support department. Say what happened and what you expected instead, and include your username if the question is about your account.

Report a post, a comment, or an account

Every post, comment and account can be reported from inside the app, using the menu on the item itself. That route is better than email: it sends us the exact item you are looking at.

Reports are reviewed by a person, and we act on objectionable content within 24 hours of a report. There is no appeal process yet. If you believe something was removed in error, email us and a person will look at it again.

Block someone

You can block any account from its profile. Blocking works in both directions and is enforced by the server, not just hidden in the app: a blocked account cannot put a post in your inbox, send you a notification, follow you, or request to.

Delete your account

Settings, inside the app. Deleting removes your profile, your posts, your media, your follows, likes and comments, and the records of which posts you have viewed.

You do not need to email us to delete your account, and you do not need to ask permission. If you have already removed the app and cannot get back in to do it, write to info@evalumate.net from the address on the account and we will do it for you.

Request a copy of your data

Email us from the address on the account. If you are in the UK or EU you have rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. If you are in California you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

The privacy policy describes exactly what is held and for how long.

Trouble signing in

Use the password reset link on the sign-in screen; it emails a reset to the address on the account. If that email does not arrive, check the spam folder first, then write to us. Tell us the address you signed up with rather than sending a password, which we never need and cannot see.

Make your account private

Settings, inside the app. Turning it on applies to posts you have already made as well as new ones. Pending follow requests stay pending until you accept them.

The Chrome extension

The extension signs in with the same Evalumate account as the app, and shows you only what that account can already see. If it shows nothing on a page, it means nobody you follow has reviewed that brand or store yet.

It has its own privacy policy, because it runs in a different place and collects different things from the app.
